I chose this song by Neal because I knew I could put a completely different spin on the lyrics and because we both like the ‘diapason’ sound on old electronic organs - Neal has great taste.

I used my Hammond Piper electronic organ (circa ‘72) as the main instrument in this song and recorded it myself. It lent a hand to the title ‘Diapason’ from Neal Pinto’s ‘21:21’ album (Neal has played with VJ ( because of that instrument being a ‘stop’ (sound) on organs typical of that time period - I didn’t use that voice setting actually but used the rhythm machine and a few other knobbies - it ended up sounding like old space-age pop from that era - but recorded with modern equipment. The words really worked with the love/hate girl group snide dry attitude thrown in turning Neal’s song into something completely different!
